The complete second season of the hit series “Arrow” comes to home video on September 16th. This 9- Disc set includes all 23 episodes on Blu-Ray, DVD and Ultraviolet Digital.
In just 2 seasons “Arrow” has become one of the most popular superhero based shows to hit the small screen. The acting is top notch with Stephen Amell bringing a hardcore toughness to the title character that has never been seen before. Other cast highlights include actress Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance (a crime fight in her own right), Manu Bennet as Slade Wilson a character better known as “Deathstroke” in the DC Comics Universe and John Barrowman (Sci-Fi favorite from “Dr. Who” and “Torchwood“) as as Arrow nemesis Malcolm Merlyn.
Unlike it’s predecessor “Smallville,” the CW network let “Arrow” hit the ground running and has allowed it’s viewers to witness the “Green Arrow” in all his glory much quicker than the previous show did with Superman. In fact after just 2 seasons “Arrow” has become such a juggernaut that the CW Network picked up the spin-off series “The Flash.” and I wouldn’t be surprised if more DC heroes follow.
Special Features Include: “Bonus Recap Episode Year One,” “From Vigilante To Hero,” “How Do They Do That? The Visual Effects Of Arrow,” ” Wirework: The Impossible Moves Of Arrow,” “Arrow 2013 Comic-Con Panel,” “Gag Reel” and “Unaired Scenes.” All of these plus the entire 2nd season in brilliant High Definition make this set a must own for any comic book fan.
Great acting along with enthralling story lines and fast paced action make “Arrow” a show that you will want to watch again and again.
Drumroll please… 10 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
