“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”

“The Flash” continues to be the brightest jewel in the CW superhero series crown and is quite possibly the best network superhero show ever created.

In Season Four Barry Allen continues his battle against the evil metahumans that wreak havoc in Central City as well as time traveling to alternate universes to protect the Earth from otherworldly threats.

Heading into its fifth season “The Flash” shows no signs of slowing down and continues to be light speed ahead of all it’s comic book competition (Arrow, Gotham, Marvel’s Agents Of Shield, Supergirl) to remain a fan favorite and critic darling. Actor Grant Gustin has proven to be the perfect actor in the title role as both The Flash and alter ego Barry Allen. Gustin possesses just the right amount of cocky charm needed to bring the wisecracking superhero to life. Gustin is also vulnerable and viewers have been in his corner since Season 1. All the actors are top notch.  Standout performances by Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker (Justified) stage actor and television veteran Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order) add to the credibility of what might just seem like another costumed hero kids show.

The show also continues to incorporate The Flash’s awesome rogues gallery of villains including “The Reverse Flash” and “Zoom.”

If you have not yet jumped onto the Flash’s treadmill then here’s your chance to speed ahead by binge watching “The Flash: The Complete Fourth Season” before Season Five of this high-rated and critically acclaimed show races back onto your TV screen on October 9th.
