Eagle Rock Entertainment has just released a vintage performance by the band Toto that dates back 25 years!
“Toto LIVE at Montreux 1991” is making its debut on DVD, Blu-Ray and CD. The 1991 line-up includes David Paich, Steve Lukather plus brothers Jeff and Mike Porcaro who have sadly both departed.
This performance will be especially satisfying for fans because it features one of the last performances by drummer and founding member Jeff Porcaro. It’s great to see the chemistry of this rhythm section and the whole band is firing on all cylinders in this brief but powerful 8 song setlist.
The audio and picture quality of this release is absolutely perfect and I am really only deducting a couple stars because the setlist lacks a few more hits making this release something that the casual Toto fan may not enjoy. If “Hold The Line” or a couple other hits had been added into the setlist then “Toto LIVE at Montreux 1991” would definitely be a 10-Star release!
1) On The Run
2) Kingdom Of Desire
3) I’ll Be Over You
5) Jake To The Bone
6) Red House
8) I Want To Take You Higher
