CD/DVD Review: The Rolling Stones “Bridges To Bremen”

Rolling Stones fans can rejoice once again as Eagle Rock Entertainment releases another classic concert on CDand DVD.
This time out we get “Bridges To Bremen” the band’s September 2, 1998 concert recorded and filmed at the German city’s Weserstadium during their tour to support the “Bridges Of Babylon” album.
This show finds the band firing on all cylinders as they tear through a rocking 22 song setlist that includes five songs from the “Bridges Of Babylon” disc including “Flip The Switch,” “Anybody Seen My Baby?,” “Saint Of Me,” “Out Of Control” and “Thief In The Night” featuring Keith Richards on lead vocals.

Mick Jagger is on fire for the entire show covering every inch of the stage like the hyper rooster he has been at any age. The sound is flawless and the visuals on the DVD are impeccable. This high energy show proves that the band was indeed back to claim their stadium glory. The setlist is a Stones fans’ dream and features the classics “Paint It Black” and “Honky Tonk Woman” plus deep album cuts like “Memory Motel” and “Wanna Hold You”

 “Bridges To Bremen” proves that The Rolling Stones have been and will continue to be one of the all-time greatest live acts in history and Eagle Rock Entertainment can keep these releases coming to fulfill the world’s rock’n’roll needs!
