AerosmithLIVEAerosmith has released many LIVE albums over the course of their 40 year career and with “Rocks Donington 2014” they finally get it right.

“Rocks Donington 2014” contains 20 tracks spread out over 2 CDs plus a DVD of the entire show. The “Bad Boys from Boston” barrel through a 20 song set list that includes tracks from 9 of their 15 studio albums.

You get all the down and dirty 70’s tunes (“Same Old Song And Dance” “No More No More” “Last Child”) plus the big 80’s and 90’s comeback hits (“Cryin'” “Dude Looks Like A Lady” “Janie’s Got A Gun”) and their lone chart topper from 1998 “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.”

Every single member of the group is in top form with kudos going out to guitarist Brad Whitford who is often times overlooked in favor of the cooler looking Joe Perry. Whitford is solid throughout and is definitely Mick Taylor to Perry’s Keith Richards and that is just about the highest compliment an axeman can be paid!

The DVD is exceptional with coverage of all 5 members throughout the performance. Watching the video proves that Aerosmith is still one of the greatest LIVE American rock bands still performing today. While other bands are going through the motions without their original line-ups and with frontmen who can no longer sing Aerosmith continues to perform at the top of their game.

If you have never seen Aerosmith LIVE you need to buy a ticket the next time they come within 100 miles of your area but until then sit back in the comfort of your living room and “rock out” for 2 hours with this stellar release.

Drumroll please… 9 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
