81AKq-NGjUL._SY355_For the past few years Marshall Crenshaw has been sidestepping the conventional way of releasing new music by offering his fans an “EP Subscription” service.

Every 3 months or so subscribers would receive a 10-inch 3 song vinyl EP in the mail. Each release contained a brand new song, a cover tune, a reworked Crenshaw classic and a digital download card for people who don’t embrace the “warmth of vinyl” mentality.

In total, Crenshaw released 6 EPs. Now that the subscription service has come to an end it’s time to get some of this music out to the public via a new compilation CD called “#392: The EP Collection.”

“#392: The EP Collection” contains 14 tracks of pure Marshall Crenshaw pop rock music. The kind of music that makes you want to rolled down the windows and sing-a-long. The album contains 6 Crenshaw originals and 6 cover tunes all taken from the original EPs. The CD also adds 2 bonus tracks: “Man With Money” written by The Everly Brothers and recorded LIVE by Crenshaw with backing support by The Bottle Rockets plus “Front Page News” a Crenshaw original that has never been released until now.

If you are not familiar with the amazing songs of Marshall Crenshaw then this collection is a great introduction to his new music and will no doubt have you seeking out his entire back catalogue. Buy this collection now and enjoy it for the rest of your life because Crenshaw’s music is truly timeless.

Drumroll please… 10 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
