Capcom announced today that it hasn’t totally forgotten about the Mega Man series! Coming this summer, the Mega Man Legacy Collection will be initially available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One with a version for the 3DS coming at a later date.
So what’s included in the Legacy Collection? According to Capcom, it’s going to include “faithful reproductions” of the original six Mega Man games (hopefully better than the Anniversary Collection that came out for the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube), a Challenge Mode (because Mega Man games aren’t challenging enough as it is), an art gallery, and a museum mode with stuff like concept art for you to peruse.
No price has been announced yet, but it’s going to be a digital only release. If this does well enough, hopefully we’ll see Capcom showing a little more Mega Man love eventually. If not, I guess Mighty No. 9 will just carry the torch.
I like video games. Talk to me about video games and I'll never shut up. Anything else? Yeah, you're probably on your own.
