There really isn’t an artist quite like Suzanne Vega. Primarily known as a folk musician her albums have also veered into electronic, pop and sometimes rock.
Now thanks to Culture Factory USA Vega’s first 2 solo CDs are getting the upgrade they deserve via the Limited Edition vinyl LP replica format. Both “Suzanne Vega” and “Solitude Standing” are seminal albums in Vega’s career. Her self-titled debut introduced her to the public with songs such as “Cracking” and the infectious “Marlene On The Wall” while “Solitude Standing” brought her chart success with the unlikely themed top 5 radio hit “Luka.”
Both albums have been digitally remastered and the limited edition packaging features all of the original elements from the original vinyl releases. Upon first listen the sound quality of “Suzanne Vega” and “Solitude Standing” was a little more shrill than on other Culture Factory releases but when compared to the original A&M CDs from the 80’s the sound of these two reissues is far and away superior.
Culture Factory USA is without a doubt one of the best reissue labels in existence today and are giving fans of vinyl exactly what they have been missing all the these years… great sound + all the extras we remember from the past.
To order these titles and others from such artists as Midnight Oil, Rod Stewart, Iggy Pop, Blue Oyster Cult, James Taylor and many many others visit www.culturefactoryusa.com.
