James Bond is back in the 24th film now officially titled SPECTRE. Fans of the series will be well aware of the origins of this title (Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion). It being the name of the group Bond was working against in the first 6 films and all.
And who will be playing the iconic Ernst Blofeld, leader of said group? Well, we don’t know exactly. The rumor was that Christoph Waltz was playing that part but in the announcement this morning he was said to be playing a character named Oberhauser so I guess we’ll see how it all breaks down eventually. Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and of course Daniel Craig. Another interesting newcomer? Monica Bellucci. I hope she is one of the villains because she would be fantastic.
I cannot even wait to see how this turns out, especially with Sam Mendes saying that this film will tie into the other Bond films. It seems like they are really working to build a Bond universe which is pretty awesome.
