Singer-Songwriter ROREY

New York City native ROREY, a singer-songwriter who debuted in 2021 with the single “Predictable,” has released a new track in advance of her sophomore EP Dysphoria. “Nobody’s Fault But My Own,” comes out as a single and video with the EP dropping August 15, 2025.

It’s odd it’s being referred to as an EP as it will feature eight tracks, which, to us old-timers is album length. In any case ROREY, on “Nobody’s Fault of My Own,” isn’t sonically distinct from her peers, but it’s a solid track nonetheless. Dreamy and hook-laden, the song it’s acoustic guitar is accented with several subtle vocal hooks and extra instrumentation.

And of course it’s relatable, as the title suggests. “These are my worst days/Should be my best days/I’ve got to learn the hard way,” ROREY croons. The video is shot mostly in an apartment with ROREY reluctant to get out of bed, though she does manage to get there. We even get some shots of her wandering a neighborhood in New York. In crowded field of like-minded artists. ROREY has the edge.
